Lead the architecture and delivery of cloud-native backend systems powering real-time security detection, threat hunting, and response at massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical roadmap and architecture for detection platform backend systems
- Lead design and implementation of highly available, low-latency cloud-native services processing millions of events per second and petabytes of data
- Build agentic threat-hunting capabilities and apply AI across software development
- Drive cross-team technical initiatives and architecture reviews
- Translate complex requirements into scalable, operable designs and shared engineering standards
- Champion observability, performance optimization, data integrity, diagnostics, and incident response
- Mentor software engineers and promote technical excellence
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Deep production experience with Go and/or Java
- Track record building and operating high-scale distributed backend services
- Experience building platforms with API design, service boundaries, multi-tenancy, and shared infrastructure
- Strong background in distributed data processing and microservices
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Cassandra, and ClickHouse
- Experience embedding AI and LLM-powered capabilities into production services
- Ability to turn complex, ambiguous requirements into scalable end-to-end designs
- Ability to lead multi-team initiatives and influence engineering roadmaps
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Python experience
- Experience with agentic frameworks, orchestration, RAG, MCP, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation or guardrails
- Previous experience developing security-related products
