Join a growth-stage company architecting a new approach to enterprise data infrastructure. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build the control plane of a distributed file system, managing orchestration, metadata, and cluster membership for large-scale, high-performance environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain services that coordinate the cluster
- Optimize performance using complex data structures like spanning trees or LSM-Trees and concurrency control mechanisms such as MVCC
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate backend capabilities into real-world impact
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in systems programming, preferably C/C++
- Proven experience building complex, high-performance distributed systems at scale, such as databases, file systems, or distributed data platforms
- Strong distributed troubleshooting and incident resolution skills
- Ownership mindset, self-direction, and a passion for solving complex problems
Nice to have
- Experience with Rust or Go
- Experience with NGINX/Envoy and general networking concepts
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Experience with distributed consensus protocols such as Raft or Paxos
