Responsibilities
- Design and implement resilient, low-latency backend solutions for high-throughput, highly available systems.
- Solve complex distributed-systems and performance-optimization challenges.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers, product managers, and data scientists to operationalize decisioning logic.
- Maintain system health, operational stability, and runtime performance.
- Promote clean code, sound design patterns, robust testing, and maintainable architecture.
- Mentor junior developers and lead technical discussions.
Requirements
- Professional experience designing, scaling, and maintaining high-performance microservices architectures.
- Strong hands-on Python, Kafka, FastAPI, and relational database experience, including MySQL.
- Knowledge of data structures, clean code, asynchronous programming, and software architecture.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and self-direction skills.
Nice to have
- Seven or more years of professional software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
- Interest in using modern AI tools in software engineering workflows.
- Experience in fintech, real-time financial decisioning, or risk platforms.
