Join an Agile team building and operating foundational backend services for a cloud platform. Fixed-term, full-time contract with possible extension; hybrid work in Tel Aviv, with two office days per week.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend services using Node.js.
- Own and operate services as part of a self-organized Agile team.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment and production.
- Build maintainable, performant backend solutions.
- Work with cloud architectures and AWS services.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes, including hands-on Jenkins work.
- Use modern AI tools and AI-assisted development technologies.
- Work with product management and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience, focused on backend development.
- Extensive hands-on experience building production-grade backend applications and services with Node.js.
- Experience designing and developing scalable, reliable distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
- Strong experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including Jenkins.
- Practical experience using AI tools and AI-assisted software development workflows.
- Experience with Git or an equivalent distributed version control system.
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- Experience designing backend architecture for large-scale cloud platforms.
- Experience with microservices, observability, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience applying AI tools to improve engineering productivity, workflows, or software quality.
