An Israeli insurance technology company is hiring a Senior Backend Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy scalable AI-powered claims software. The role contributes to technical direction, product delivery, and engineering best practices within a collaborative R&D team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications
- Develop AI capabilities using LLM technologies and establish related engineering best practices
- Lead new feature development and enhancements while maintaining coding standards
- Architect and implement secure, robust, and maintainable software solutions
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other teams to deliver software
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering standards
- Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and development practices
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Maintain existing applications and resolve critical bugs
- Contribute to agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend or full-stack development experience
- Experience with Python for backend development and/or React and JavaScript for frontend development
- Deep knowledge of SaaS software architecture
- Strong understanding of end-to-end product development
- Experience building cloud architectures
- Ability to prioritize, estimate, mitigate risks, and balance code quality with delivery and business value
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with AI product architecture and development
- Familiarity with the insurance or financial industries
