Join a small, experienced engineering team building secure enterprise software that automates regulatory work for insurance organizations. Own critical backend systems, architecture, data pipelines, and integrations with AI models.
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable distributed backend systems where correctness, auditability, and availability are important
- Connect AI and machine learning models with the core product
- Build fast, auditable, and secure data pipelines
- Develop systems that meet enterprise security requirements, including identity management and standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
- Collaborate with Product and engineering colleagues to deliver production-ready features
- Make architectural decisions and contribute to engineering practices
Requirements
- At least 8 years of backend engineering experience
- Experience designing complex systems from scratch
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Python, microservices, relational databases, and software architecture
- Practical experience with or active engagement in LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and vector databases
- Comfort working independently in an ambiguous startup environment
- Willingness to build, operate, and take ownership of production systems
