A cybersecurity company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale backend services, improve production performance, and contribute to technical architecture in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cost-efficient backend services
- Evaluate and introduce technologies to improve the platform
- Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and code reviews
- Analyze system data and performance metrics to improve efficiency and remove bottlenecks
- Lead technical projects, mentor engineers, and guide architectural decisions
- Collaborate with research teams to define features and recommend technical solutions
- Support integration with other engineering teams
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a backend and data engineer working with production systems
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch
- Experience building real-time, highly scalable production systems
- Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Celery, or similar
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with global research and engineering teams

- Python experience
- AWS or OCI cloud experience
