Join a leading location analytics platform as a Senior Backend Engineer. You will own services end-to-end, drive performance and scalability, build data pipelines supporting ML and analytics, and collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Analytics. Work with modern infrastructure including NodeJS, TypeScript, and cloud platforms at high scale.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and maintain backend services from development to production.
- Drive system performance, scalability, and reliability using metrics-driven decisions.
- Build infrastructure and data pipelines for machine learning and analytics use cases.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Analytics to deliver impactful features.
- Conduct code reviews, lead design discussions, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in high-scale systems.
- 2+ years with NodeJS and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Proficiency in cloud computing (AWS or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Familiarity with mobile app development (Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, Java) is a plus.
- Strong engineering fundamentals: system design, data structures, APIs, testing, observability.
- Experience with data-intensive systems and complex data pipelines.
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Spark is a big plus.
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to boost productivity and efficiency.
