Research Infrastructure Engineer
Join a sovereign AI and national cyber-defense company that helps governments secure critical systems and turn sensitive data into decisions. As a Research Infrastructure Engineer, you will build and operate shared platforms powering cyber research, including data ingestion, scalable analysis environments, and self-serve tools, partnering with CyberAI researchers to accelerate capability development.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and iterate on internal platforms supporting research workflows such as data ingestion, enrichment, indexing, search, labeling, evaluation harnesses, and experiment tooling.
- Develop durable pipelines and connectors to bring in and normalize research data sources.
- Create reusable libraries, templates, CLIs, and services enabling researchers to run analyses and experiments safely and repeatably.
- Own deployments, reliability, observability, access control, and cost/performance of the research stack.
- Work closely with CyberAI researchers on developing next-generation artificial cyber researchers and AI-driven analysis capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems in platform engineering, data engineering, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including clean architecture, testing, CI/CD, code review, and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment patterns such as containers, orchestration, serverless, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code like Terraform.
- Experience designing data pipelines and service integrations.
- Ability to work closely with researchers, turning ambiguous needs into clear requirements, making pragmatic tradeoffs, shipping incrementally, and supporting adoption.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity research workflows such as threat hunting, malware research, and CTI.
