We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Backend & AI) to drive backend systems and AI-powered solutions. Lead architecture, integrate AI, manage data pipelines, and mentor a team. 8+ years backend exp., Python/Node, cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and development of scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Design and implement AI-driven features, including model integration and inference pipelines.
- Build and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure for AI workloads.
- Mentor and lead a team of engineers.
- Partner with product and data teams to define technical solutions.
- Drive end-to-end delivery of complex projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of backend software development experience.
- 2+ years in a leadership or tech lead role.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Node.js.
- Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with ML models in production.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Nice to have
- Experience in AI systems (LLMs, NLP, computer vision).
- Familiarity with MLOps tools (Airflow, Vertex AI).
- Experience with real-time data processing (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
- Background in high-growth startups or Israeli tech companies.
- Experience with microservices and Kubernetes.
