Join an algorithms organization developing scalable systems, workflow tools, and operational solutions for large-scale data processing and analysis. The role focuses on turning manual processes and ad hoc scripts into reliable production systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable systems and tools for data operations, workflow management, and pipeline monitoring.
- Work with analysts, product stakeholders, and engineers to define requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Replace manual processes and ad hoc scripts with robust, maintainable production systems.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across data pipelines, infrastructure, and operational workflows.
- Own projects from system design through deployment and continuous improvement.
- Develop primarily in Python within modern production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Experience designing, building, or maintaining production systems with a broad system-level perspective.
- Experience with complex systems involving data processing, workflows, backend services, or infrastructure components.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Ability to define requirements, identify gaps, and independently drive projects from concept to production.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or comparable containerized environments.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines.
- Exposure to algorithm development environments or machine learning workflows.
