Lead backend engineering for a high-scale, real-time sports product serving millions of users. Own architecture, technical quality, team support, and production delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design robust APIs and backend services for a large user base
- Define architecture and guide performance, security, and scalability strategies
- Analyze and process large datasets in near real time
- Oversee data pipelines supporting real-time push notifications
- Write technical specifications for complex features
- Support developers, delegate tasks, and remove technical blockers
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain code quality, maintainability, and unit and integration test coverage
- Own release delivery through production
- Support developer hiring and onboarding
Requirements
- At least 10 years of professional experience
- Strong experience with .NET Core, C#, Web API, and Entity Framework Core
- Experience with multithreading, asynchronous applications, caching, message queues, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software design principles
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and microservices architecture
- Experience with MS SQL Server, ADO.NET, database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Experience with MongoDB
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a remote environment
