Join an engineering team developing advanced defense systems and real-time optical navigation solutions. The role focuses on multi-sensor navigation using cameras, IMU, GPS/GNSS, and other electro-optical sensors.
Responsibilities
- Develop image-processing algorithms for diverse electro-optical sensors.
- Develop and optimize AI-based and classical feature-matching algorithms, including SIFT, ORB, SuperPoint, and SuperGlue.
- Train visual models and develop 3D scene understanding solutions using deep-learning and classical methods such as SLAM and Structure-from-Motion.
- Develop image-based navigation algorithms for radar and electro-optical sensors.
- Implement sensor fusion, IMU calibration, bias estimation, and noise models using Kalman filtering.
- Define test scenarios, simulation tools, and evaluation databases, and conduct proof-of-concept experiments.
- Implement solutions in MATLAB, C++, and Python.
- Conduct comparative performance analysis and write algorithm documentation.
- Perform edge-case testing with systems engineering teams.
- Specify experiments and support their execution and analysis.
Requirements
- MSc in engineering or an exact science is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in computer vision, optical navigation, visual odometry, optical flow, ego-motion estimation, or deep-learning-based registration.
- Strong knowledge of statistics and probability.
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, PyTorch, TensorRT, and OpenCV.
- Analytical ability, self-directed learning, motivation, and effective interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- PhD in engineering or an exact science.
- Experience with sensor fusion.
- Knowledge of optimization frameworks such as Ceres, g2o, or GTSAM.
