Senior AI Engineer - AI Framework

As a Senior AI Engineer on the AI Framework team, you will build the foundational platform for designing, evaluating, deploying, and operating AI agents at scale. You'll work on agentic framework architecture, evaluation systems, observability, and developer enablement, empowering the entire organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the internal agentic framework, leveraging tools like LangChain, LangSmith, ADK.
  • Build evaluation frameworks and workflows for AI agents, including offline/online evaluations, quality metrics, and experimentation infrastructure.
  • Provide robust observability capabilities like tracing, logging, monitoring, cost tracking, and safety guardrails.
  • Create APIs, SDKs, and abstractions for product teams to build, test, and operate agents.
  • Design cross-language integrations across Python and Java.
  • Build the agent runtime and execution engine for orchestrating agent execution, managing tool calls, state, and memory.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of backend engineering experience with strong system design.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building agentic systems or frameworks in production.
  • Experience extending or building frameworks on top of LangChain, LangGraph, ADK, or similar.
  • Experience designing and operating production-grade AI agents, including failure handling and observability.
  • Strong understanding of AI evaluation methodologies.
  • High proficiency in Python for building production-grade AI frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Java for backend platform integrations.
  • Experience building observability, monitoring, or platform tooling for distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and scalable microservices architectures.
