Lead a hands-on software team building the systems, tooling, and production components that support healthcare AI models throughout their lifecycle. Shape technical direction, guide execution, and collaborate with researchers, algorithm engineers, product, and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of core software systems connecting algorithms and engineering
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, coaching, and day-to-day support to team members
- Contribute code and solve complex software engineering problems
- Own project-level architecture and technical decisions
- Establish effective code reviews, testing practices, and documentation
- Coordinate interfaces and priorities with algorithm, product, and engineering partners
- Lead a scrum team and drive execution
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience building complex software systems
- At least 3 years of experience leading a team while contributing to design and coding
- Experience building core software systems for algorithmic or AI-driven solutions
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, performance optimization, and system complexity
- Ability to lead end-to-end development while remaining technically hands-on
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and accountability
- Commitment to clean code, sound architecture, testing, documentation, and high engineering standards
