Riverside is seeking a senior product designer to shape polished, end-to-end experiences across its dashboard, studio, editor, and mobile products. The role combines systems thinking, interaction design, product judgment, and close collaboration with product and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Own product areas from problem framing through launch and refinement.
- Advance and evolve the design system.
- Partner with product and engineering throughout the design and implementation process.
- Use research and data to inform product decisions.
- Contribute to design critique and raise the team's quality standards.
- Develop detailed interactions, microcopy, transitions, loading states, and other product details.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing shipped, meaningful products.
- A portfolio demonstrating range, sound judgment, and high-quality execution.
- Strong systems thinking and interaction design skills, beyond visual design.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and challenge briefs constructively.
- Collaborative approach to critique, feedback, and shared problem-solving.
- Proficiency with Figma and relevant AI-enabled design or development tools.
Nice to have
- Curiosity about AI tools and models, with a willingness to experiment and share learnings.
- Experience prototyping in code and making small implementation fixes.
