An AI software company serving major insurers is hiring a Senior Product Designer to become its founding in-house designer. You will own the user experience for complex web and desktop applications, simplifying regulatory workflows, policy comparisons, AI reasoning, and document-generation processes
Responsibilities
- Own the full product design lifecycle, including user research, journey mapping, wireframes, UI design, and interactive prototypes
- Design end-to-end experiences for complex enterprise workflows involving regulatory research, policy comparison, legal reasoning, and AI document generation
- Create, scale, and maintain a design system and component library across the web platform
- Ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and high-quality implementation of design work
- Use AI design tools, code-based prototyping, and AI-native workflows to accelerate design development
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and AI research teams to deliver polished product experiences
Requirements
- At least five years of product design experience, unless demonstrated trajectory and capability support an exception
- Experience designing complex B2B web applications and multi-step desktop or web workflows
- A portfolio showing strong visual and UI design
- Experience taking product concepts from user flows and wireframes through visual refinement and production-ready handoff
- Experience designing interfaces for LLM products or other AI-enabled software
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup with rapid feedback cycles
- Strong collaboration skills with frontend engineers, product managers, and AI researchers
