Join a defense manufacturing team developing motion-control and stabilization systems for advanced electro-optical payloads. The role covers architecture, design, simulation, implementation, and integration of multi-axis gimbals and dedicated drive mechanisms.
Responsabilidades
- Specify, design, and build drive and stabilization systems for electro-optical payloads.
- Define motion-control architectures for multi-axis gimbals, specialized drive mechanisms, and precision sensors.
- Develop and implement digital control loops to meet motion-accuracy and environmental-performance requirements.
- Lead integration of complete control systems spanning hardware, firmware, and software.
- Build models and perform analyses to predict system performance under dynamic disturbances.
- Provide engineering support for existing systems on production lines and in the field.
- Coordinate technical work across mechanical packaging and analysis, electronics, systems engineering, and computer vision.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering, with a mandatory control-engineering track.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, simulating, and optimizing motion-control systems, including gimbaled platforms.
- Proficiency in digital signal processing and implementing control algorithms in real-time environments.
- Ability to analyze complex system failures with a strong systems perspective.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
Se valora
- Experience with vibration-isolation dampers, piezoelectric motor control, or FOG and MEMS gyroscopes.
- Knowledge of advanced control methods such as feedback, feedforward, and adaptive control for nonlinear disturbances.
- Master’s degree specializing in control theory.
- Basic familiarity with artificial intelligence tools.
- Experience in defense companies or with electro-optical payloads.
