Lead early-stage innovation and mechanical engineering for future minimally invasive medical devices. Develop concepts from clinical needs, build and test prototypes, and drive technical learning through multidisciplinary collaboration.
Responsabilidades
- Lead early-stage innovation, concept generation, ideation, and feasibility assessment.
- Develop and mature novel device concepts, including implants, delivery systems, and enabling technologies.
- Design, build, and test proof-of-concept prototypes to support rapid iteration and technical risk reduction.
- Translate clinical needs into engineering solutions incorporating procedural and anatomical considerations.
- Develop testing tools, benchtop models, and simulation platforms representing relevant anatomical and physiological conditions.
- Plan and execute feasibility studies, bench testing, design evaluations, and preclinical studies.
- Analyze test results, conduct root-cause and failure investigations, and drive design improvements using engineering and clinical feedback.
- Coordinate interfaces with global R&D teams, external partners, consultants, and suppliers.
- Document technical findings, experimental results, and engineering recommendations clearly.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 6–12 years of experience in product development, preferably in early-stage or innovation-focused environments.
- Proven experience in concept development, innovation, and rapid prototyping.
- Strong hands-on engineering skills and the ability to work in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or other computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including extrusion, machining, laser cutting, and 3D printing.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional and global environments.
- Curiosity, creativity, adaptability, and a multidisciplinary mindset spanning mechanics, systems, and clinical understanding.

- Medical device industry experience.
- Experience developing implantable devices, minimally invasive technologies, and micro-mechanisms from concept through detailed design.
- Knowledge of engineering simulations and finite element analysis (FEA).
