Lead mechanical design projects for airborne electro-optical observation systems, from early development through high-volume serial production, within a multidisciplinary R&D team.
Responsabilidades
- Lead projects from development through high-volume serial production.
- Develop and improve mechanical designs and produce manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Lead design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly, and design-to-cost activities.
- Manage subcontractors and provide production-line troubleshooting support.
- Perform root-cause analysis and lifecycle troubleshooting.
- Lead mechanical design for revisions and derived configurations.
- Develop, manufacture, and document electronic packaging, including PCB integration and cabling.
- Own bills of materials and engineering change orders.
- Support procurement during product development.
- Progress toward full ownership of new product development while balancing performance, precision, weight, specifications, and cost.
Requisitos
- B.Sc. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience developing opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with delicate mechanisms and static or dynamic systems designed for extreme environmental conditions.
- Ability to lead transfer-to-production activities and support products throughout their lifecycle.
- Experience managing subcontractors and working with suppliers.
- Ability to prepare development documentation and lead design reviews.
- Full proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Ability to work responsibly and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams under short timelines.

- Defense or manufacturing industry experience.
- Technical leadership and a broad systems perspective.
- Experience with electronic packaging, PCB integration, cards, harnesses, and development-to-production transfer.
- Knowledge of PLM, Priority, ECO processes, optics, fine-drive mechanisms, motors, thermal imaging, or thermal, stress, and flow analysis.
- Familiarity with industrial design, plastics, or injection molding.
- Strong command of English.
