Senior Field Process Engineer
Develop, optimize, and transfer thin-film deposition processes and equipment at a customer site. Support new product introductions, process experiments, troubleshooting, and transfer to high-volume manufacturing. Travel 50–70% during the first year for training in Asia, Europe, or the United States;
Responsabilidades
- Train with the Business Unit on new deposition processes and hardware to support new product introduction.
- Lead the introduction and transfer of new processes at the customer site.
- Work with field hardware engineers and Business Unit teams to troubleshoot products and propose process or hardware improvements.
- Design and conduct on-site customer experiments for process development, integration, and continuous improvement.
- Escalate issues promptly and maintain alignment on scope, timelines, and customer needs.
- Document new product introduction learnings and transfer knowledge to local service and manufacturing teams.
- Analyze system and process performance against technology-node requirements.
- Conduct structured root-cause analysis of process and system nonconformances.
- Work with customer teams to identify opportunities to adopt company equipment and processes.
- Support process transfer to high-volume manufacturing sites and create and share best-known methods and documentation.
Requisitos
- Master’s degree in materials science, chemical engineering, or physics with relevant internship, research, or academic project experience, or a PhD in one of these fields with relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience processing, developing, or characterizing thin films using thermal ALD, plasma ALD, plasma CVD, epitaxy, or LPCVD reactors.
- Troubleshooting and structured problem-analysis experience, such as KT, FMEA, Ishikawa, or 7-step methodologies.
- Experience designing, conducting, and interpreting designed experiments (DOEs) and statistical experiments.
- Familiarity with semiconductor device applications, vacuum techniques, metrology, and thin-film characterization.
- Ability to travel as needed and support extended hours or weekends during qualifications or escalations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold intellectual property boundaries.
