Mid-Level Data Engineer – Cloud and SaaS Integrations

A global cloud intelligence company is hiring a remote Data Engineer to own data integrations, ingestion pipelines, normalization, and data correctness across cloud and SaaS billing sources.
Responsabilidades
- Build integrations with third-party billing and usage APIs and expand vendor coverage
- Maintain integrations as vendor APIs and pricing models change
- Use AI tools for code exploration, prototyping, implementation, debugging, testing, and documentation
- Own data quality, including deduplication, gap detection, race-condition handling, reconciliation, and negotiated-rate support
- Design normalization models for units, currencies, time granularity, resource taxonomies, service taxonomies, and cost categories
- Own orchestration, scheduling, ingestion, and safe self-service backfills end to end
- Work with product, support, and engineering teams to identify and resolve data gaps
- Propose improvements independently and maintain a high standard of data correctness
Requisitos
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering or a data-heavy backend role
- Production ownership of data pipelines used by other teams or customers
- Strong SQL skills, including performance reasoning for complex analytical queries
- Hands-on experience building and operating pipelines with an orchestration framework such as Dagster, Airflow, Prefect, or dbt
- Strong Python or another programming language used fluently for data work
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse or analytical store such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including pagination, rate limits, partial failures, late-arriving data, and restatements
- Experience developing solutions in the cloud or using cloud services
- Regular use of AI tools across the engineering workflow, with sound judgment about their application
- Excellent written and spoken English
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

- Experience with cloud or SaaS billing data, including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, marketplace billing, or the FOCUS specification
- Familiarity with Go
- Experience with financial or audit-grade systems such as invoicing, metering, revenue reconciliation, or billing engines
