A legal technology company is seeking a hands-on Data Engineering Team Lead to define its data strategy, lead a growing engineering team, and build reliable infrastructure for data-powered and AI-driven products.
Responsabilidades
- Define the data engineering strategy and roadmap with product, AI, and platform leaders.
- Lead design reviews, troubleshoot complex systems, and contribute hands-on to production code.
- Manage, hire, mentor, and develop data engineers while maintaining accountability and technical quality.
- Build and scale real-time and batch data infrastructure with strong service levels and compliance.
- Establish standards for data modeling, observability, orchestration, governance, and reliability.
- Partner with backend, platform, AI/ML, and product teams on data-powered features.
- Promote data engineering best practices and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Requisitos
- 7+ years of professional data engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading or managing engineers.
- Experience building and operating production-grade streaming and batch data platforms.
- Advanced SQL and Python skills.
- Experience setting technical direction, prioritizing roadmaps, and delivering results through others.
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, reliability, scalability, and AI/ML pipeline practices.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Se valora
- Experience moving from monolithic data platforms to Data Mesh or decentralized data ownership models.
- Experience implementing data governance or compliance frameworks such as GDPR or CCPA.
- Experience leading teams that built end-to-end platforms for AI/ML workloads.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code, including Terraform, and cloud-native data services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
