ATE Engineering Team Leader

Lead a multidisciplinary automated test equipment team responsible for designing, building, qualifying, deploying, and maintaining test systems across production sites. Own ATE delivery, readiness during new product introduction, and sustained test performance during mass production.

- Manage the day-to-day design, build, testing, deployment, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of automated test equipment.
- Plan ATE capacity and track delivery against new product introduction and mass-production throughput requirements.
- Own ATE readiness milestones and ensure test stations are qualified and available to production timelines.
- Lead and allocate resources across software, hardware, quality, mechanical, and integration engineering teams.
- Apply systems engineering practices to align disciplines around a coherent ATE architecture.
- Run technical reviews and design checkpoints to identify integration issues before station build and qualification.
- Coordinate technical interactions with hardware, mechanical, firmware, and software research and development teams.
- Define test plans, acceptance criteria, and calibration standards with quality assurance partners.
- Monitor test data and station performance to resolve systemic equipment and testing issues.
- Ensure test-software and fixture changes follow change-control and validation procedures.
- Coordinate with new product introduction, production engineering, and EMS or vendor teams.
- Report ATE project status, risks, and resource needs to operations and engineering leadership.
Требования
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, systems, or mechanical engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience managing ATE design, test engineering, or systems engineering in consumer electronics or comparable high-volume manufacturing.
- At least 3 years of experience managing a multidisciplinary engineering or systems team.
- Experience defining and managing requirements, interfaces, and architecture across a multidisciplinary test system.
- Ability to coordinate software, hardware, quality assurance, mechanical, and integration engineering functions.
- Understanding of test-software architecture, electronics test design, mechanical fixture design, and system integration.
- Experience with test-data analysis and first-pass-yield-driven quality methods.
- Fluent English.
- Willingness to travel to global EMS and vendor sites as needed.

- Experience coordinating with EMS or vendor manufacturing sites in China, Europe, or other Asian manufacturing hubs.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and design-for-test methodologies.
