An established HR software company is seeking a Senior Software Architect to shape the technical direction of its data platform. The role guides architecture across data infrastructure, data engines, and data frameworks while remaining closely involved in design, delivery, and production operations.
Обязанности
- Set and evolve architectural direction for the data platform group
- Lead cross-team design reviews and align stakeholders on major technical decisions
- Create design documents, reference architectures, standards, and reusable patterns
- Partner with engineers and team leads throughout delivery to preserve architectural intent and resolve trade-offs
- Guide data-intensive application and platform capabilities across data access, query frameworks, streaming, storage, reliability, scalability, and security
- Drive incremental modernization, migrations, system simplification, and architectural improvements
- Enable safe and efficient access to sensitive HR data through permission-aware platform foundations
- Prepare the platform for trusted analytics and AI through data contracts, governance, observability, lineage, and secure access patterns
- Identify systemic technical risks and architectural gaps and turn them into durable capabilities
- Mentor engineers and improve system design and technical execution across the group
Требования
- Extensive experience as a Software Architect, Principal Engineer, or Staff Engineer working on data-intensive distributed applications
- Strong expertise in distributed systems and trade-offs involving consistency, reliability, performance, scalability, and operability
- Hands-on experience designing and evolving application-facing data platforms, APIs, frameworks, query layers, or data-access layers
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, cloud infrastructure, and complex data systems
- Experience modernizing production systems through migration, decomposition, or architectural improvement
- Ability to make sound technical decisions independently across multiple teams and systems
- Practical approach to balancing long-term architecture with delivery requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for architecture reviews, technical decision records, and cross-team alignment
