Own quality validation for embedded firmware running on hardware components used in large-scale cloud infrastructure. Build scalable automation, debug hardware-software failures, and support reliable production releases.
Обязанности
- Own and extend a Python-based firmware test automation framework across multiple hardware generations.
- Design specification-driven tests for firmware correctness, fault tolerance, performance, interfaces, and subsystem integration.
- Integrate firmware validation into CI/CD pipelines and define hardware-generation-specific validation triggers.
- Analyze logs, traces, and hardware diagnostics to troubleshoot embedded system failures.
- Convert field incidents into regression tests and improve recurring defect prevention.
- Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams on silicon bring-up, test plans, quality gates, and production releases.
- Mentor teammates on testing practices and embedded system architecture.
Требования
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems testing, firmware validation, or hardware-software integration testing.
- Strong Python skills for test automation, including pytest frameworks, test infrastructure, and tooling development.
- Knowledge of I2C/SMBus, SPI, UART, and register-level hardware interfaces.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins for firmware build and test automation.
- Strong debugging skills across embedded software, firmware, system logs, traces, and hardware diagnostics.
- Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems.
- Experience with post-silicon validation, hardware bring-up, virtual platforms, or emulation environments.
