Lead mechanical engineering activities and NPI processes, transferring defense products from R&D to production. The role works from company offices and customer sites.
Обязанности
- Provide engineering support to customer R&D teams and develop a detailed understanding of defense products and systems.
- Assess product readiness for manufacturing and assembly, and lead NPI and transfer from R&D to production.
- Adapt and improve designs to support manufacturability, assembly, quality, and cost objectives.
- Prepare production files, drawings, bills of materials, assembly instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Define manufacturing and assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and testing methods.
- Work with suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and internal operations, procurement, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Resolve engineering issues during manufacturing and assembly, and support assembly lines and integration processes.
Требования
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, and transfer from R&D to production.
- Hands-on experience with NPI processes.
- Extensive experience with defense products and systems, including familiarity with defense-industry requirements, standards, and quality processes.
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing technologies, materials, and production processes.
- Experience in mechanical design and preparation of drawings and production documentation.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary systems combining mechanical, electrical, and electronic elements.
- Experience working with suppliers and subcontractors.
- High level of written and spoken English.
