Lead the design, development, verification, manufacturing transfer, and ongoing support of mechanical and electromechanical medical products. Own complex engineering activities from concept through released-product support while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and guiding less experienced
Обязанности
- Lead mechanical engineering activities across research and technology, new product development, and released product engineering
- Create 3D models, engineering drawings, technical documentation, assemblies, mechanisms, and mechanical systems
- Perform tolerance stack-up, GD&T, and predictive engineering analyses to optimize performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost
- Plan and document prototype builds, engineering tests, verification and validation, and qualification of fixtures, jigs, and tools
- Lead root-cause investigations for design, manufacturing, test, production, and field issues, and implement corrective actions
- Manage bills of materials, configuration control, engineering changes, design documentation, manufacturing transfer, and released-product support
- Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, quality, systems, test, electrical, and other stakeholders on product introduction and technical issues
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, design reviews, and leadership for engineering projects and workstreams
Требования
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience, or a PhD with no experience required
- Experience designing precision-machined parts, sheet metal components, plastics, mechanisms, and mechanical assemblies
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, design for manufacturability, and design verification
- Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Creo and SolidWorks
- Knowledge of metal and plastic manufacturing processes and experience working with suppliers and manufacturing teams
- Ability to analyze complex problems, communicate effectively, work independently, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams

- Familiarity with medical device standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Experience with PLM systems, engineering change processes, design controls, and risk management
- Knowledge of electrical motors, pneumatic systems, wiring and cabling
- Experience with process validation, equipment qualification, pFMEA, lean manufacturing, 5S, and structured root-cause analysis
