Responsible for planning projects from beginning to end, including scope definition, scheduling, cost estimation, and resource identification. Coordinates safety authorization, facility modifications, and project teams. Requires bachelor's degree, 5 years relevant experience, and strong communication and leadership skills. U.S. citizenship required. On-site in Idaho Falls, ID.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and ensure alignment with contracts and task orders.
  • Develop project schedules and cost estimates in collaboration with Project Controls and Estimating.
  • Identify resources, costs, assumptions, exclusions, and risks for each project.
  • Assist in the selection and coordination of the project team.
  • Plan and manage project execution through to project closeout.
  • Coordinate the development of required safety authorization basis changes.
  • Coordinate all aspects of facility modifications.
  • Coordinate the design and fabrication of tools and equipment.
  • Work with operations on the development or revision of procedures.
  • Coordinate training and equipment dry runs.
  • Coordinate and track readiness review development and completion.
  • Schedule loading/unloading and storage of UNF with operations.
  • Follow project closeout process for equipment and records disposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
  • 5+ years of directly relevant experience.
  • Experience leading work activities in compliance with DOE Orders, Federal, State, and Local regulations.
  • Ability to communicate and work well with DOE customers and other federal agencies.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice to have

  • Preferred experience in engineering with a strong knowledge of construction principles.
