Responsible for planning projects from beginning to end, including scope definition, scheduling, cost estimation, and resource identification. Coordinates safety authorization, facility modifications, and project teams. Requires bachelor's degree, 5 years relevant experience, and strong communication and leadership skills. U.S. citizenship required. On-site in Idaho Falls, ID.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope and ensure alignment with contracts and task orders.
- Develop project schedules and cost estimates in collaboration with Project Controls and Estimating.
- Identify resources, costs, assumptions, exclusions, and risks for each project.
- Assist in the selection and coordination of the project team.
- Plan and manage project execution through to project closeout.
- Coordinate the development of required safety authorization basis changes.
- Coordinate all aspects of facility modifications.
- Coordinate the design and fabrication of tools and equipment.
- Work with operations on the development or revision of procedures.
- Coordinate training and equipment dry runs.
- Coordinate and track readiness review development and completion.
- Schedule loading/unloading and storage of UNF with operations.
- Follow project closeout process for equipment and records disposition.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
- 5+ years of directly relevant experience.
- Experience leading work activities in compliance with DOE Orders, Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Ability to communicate and work well with DOE customers and other federal agencies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience in engineering with a strong knowledge of construction principles.
