Project Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing
Manage diverse engineering projects in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Lead cross-functional teams, develop schedules, manage budgets, coordinate with customers, and drive process improvement. Requires 5+ years PM experience, APQP, CPM, and Agile/Waterfall knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Track and monitor engineering and cross-functional projects against scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and milestones.
- Lead cross-functional meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve project issues using structured problem-solving.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams on requirements and status.
- Manage project scope and costs to align with business cases.
- Support design reviews and stage gate processes.
- Manage projects across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
- Track requisitions and engineer-to-order prototype releases.
- Support resource planning and continuous improvement of project management processes.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or related field.
- Knowledge of APQP and project management techniques including CPM.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and budget management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and presentation tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and project management software.
- Experience managing concurrent diverse project portfolios.
Nice to have
- PMP certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
- Earned value management experience.
