Product Manager II
Seeking a visionary Product Manager II to lead technology adoption and product strategy for a research agriculture portfolio. This strategic role involves close collaboration with research institutions and internal teams to drive revenue growth and profitability while meeting customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Define and continuously refine the product family roadmap, establishing clear KPIs and data-driven business analysis to measure success.
- Leverage an existing network within the agricultural research industry to gather Voice of the Customer (VOC) insights and identify critical customer needs.
- Translate market research into Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and convert ideas into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Perform competitive analysis and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Service teams to position, message, and launch products effectively.
- Own the fiscal success of the product line, setting strategic pricing and discount structures in alignment with business models and market conditions.
- Report fiscal performance and strategic positioning to leadership, ensuring products are designed for efficient field support.
- Develop and maintain a database of customer needs using VOC methodology to guide new product development.
Requirements
- Deep, practical experience working directly within agricultural research institutions, with an understanding of crop researchers' workflows and tech demands.
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, agronomy, or a related field.
- 7+ years of practical business or product management experience.
- Proven track record of managing technical products, defining roadmaps, and launching complex products.
- Established industry connections and strong networking skills to engage with key customers and partners.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including research directors, professors, procurement, sales, marketing, engineers, and service teams.
