Seeking a Product Manager to build a Director Operating System for sports organizations. You'll lead product squads, drive discovery, and shape strategy for operational tools like scheduling, registration, and payments. Ideal for someone with 2-4+ years of product management experience and a background in sports.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional product squads as product owner, maintaining a transparent and prioritized backlog.
  • Build operational tools for sports directors, including scheduling, facilities, registration, payments, communications, and game-day readiness.
  • Drive product discovery to reduce value and usability risks, and collaborate with release teams to ensure successful market launches.
  • Shape product strategy by evaluating opportunities based on customer value, business viability, and platform strategy.
  • Design AI-powered workflows to automate manual tasks and reduce operational friction.
  • Collaborate with customer success, sales, partnerships, legal, finance, and support to ensure solutions align with business needs.

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of product management experience building and shipping customer-facing software products.
  • Meaningful experience playing, coaching, or working in sports, with deep understanding of operational realities in clubs, schools, or leagues.
  • Experience using AI tools and building AI-powered workflows into products.
  • Ability to influence and inspire teammates and stakeholders without formal authority.
  • User-focused mindset with a deep understanding of customer engagement.
  • Collaborative approach valuing outcomes and close teamwork.
  • Strategic thinking connecting day-to-day decisions to long-term market opportunities.

Nice to have

  • Experience building operations products like scheduling, registration, payments, or facilities management.
  • Strong SaaS experience with understanding of scaling products across organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of the sports technology landscape and industry trends.
  • Comfort with technical conversations and customer escalations.
  • Understanding of multi-sided ecosystems involving admins, coaches, parents, athletes, and fans.
