Join a consumer goods manufacturing company to lead product lifecycle from concept to launch. Drive customer insights, roadmaps, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver products that meet customer needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned products across the full lifecycle, from concept and discovery through development, launch, and ongoing performance.
  • Gather and synthesize voice of customer input from customers, dealers, sales teams, and field data to define product requirements and positioning.
  • Act as a central connector across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Quality to align priorities and drive execution.
  • Lead product execution within a stage gate framework, ensuring milestones are met and launches are successful.
  • Develop product roadmaps, business cases, and competitive insights using market research and consumer trends.
  • Make data-driven recommendations balancing engineering feasibility, cost, margin, quality, and user experience.
  • Monitor product performance and lead initiatives for cost optimization and lifecycle improvements.
  • Build and deliver presentations to influence stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of product management experience, including taking products from ideation through commercialization.
  • Experience with consumer products, preferably durable goods or high-ticket items.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and stage gate processes.
  • Experience with voice of customer, market insights, competitive analysis, and user-centered design.
  • Demonstrated ability to build product strategies, roadmaps, and business cases.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to partner with engineering on design for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and project tracking tools such as Smartsheet.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, including communication with senior leadership.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% for dealer visits and conferences.
