We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to develop and maintain our music learning mobile game. You will design backend services in Python, build responsive frontends with React and TypeScript, and integrate AI capabilities. You'll collaborate with designers and engineers to ship features end-to-end, ensuring performance and reliability. 3+ years of experience required.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs in Python on cloud functions.
- Build responsive, polished frontend interfaces in React and TypeScript.
- Model and query data in NoSQL document databases.
- Integrate AI capabilities using LLM APIs.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and cost.
- Collaborate with game designers, audio engineers, and product managers to deliver features.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Participate in code reviews and improve development practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues across the full stack.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong Python experience, including building services with a web framework.
- Proficiency in React and TypeScript with modern build tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Firebase or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic Claude, OpenAI).
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Nice to have
- Experience working in startups.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership from idea to execution.
- Strong understanding of API design and integration.
- Experience building consumer-facing products.
- Passion for music or experience playing an instrument.
- Experience with AI agentic development (agents, tool use, orchestration).
- Familiarity with music transcription and data formats (MIDI, MusicXML).
