Senior Mechanical Engineer
Lead the mechanical engineering lifecycle for autonomous drone sub-systems, from concept design and 3D modeling to production transfer. Collaborate with hardware, avionics, and manufacturing teams. Requires 8+ years in complex mechanical systems, proficiency in SolidWorks, and experience with plastics, metals, and composites. Background in aerospace or robotics preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive hands-on mechanical design, architecture, and engineering for autonomous drone components.
- Own end-to-end mechanical engineering lifecycle: concept, 3D modeling, production, manufacturing support.
- Author technical documentation, engineering drawings, assembly procedures, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Hardware, Electronics, Avionics, and Manufacturing.
- Participate in rapid prototyping, lab integration, structural validation, and field testing.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and structural failures during development and testing.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience in complex multidisciplinary systems
- Extensive design experience with plastics, sheet metal, precision machining, and composite materials (Carbon Fiber)
- High proficiency in SolidWorks CAD and PDM/PLM environments
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration experience
