Join an Ethernet product hardware team developing networking and routing platforms for telecom and datacenter environments. Own mechanical and thermal design from board-level packaging through rack-level integration.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical and thermal systems for complex communication equipment.
- Support heatsink design, airflow optimization, and thermal validation.
- Collaborate with hardware, PCB, system, manufacturing, and reliability engineering teams.
- Ensure thermal performance, mechanical robustness, serviceability, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support mechanical design integration from board-level packaging through complete rack-level systems.
- Work with external manufacturers and suppliers on product development and production.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience designing electronic systems, mechanical packaging, and sheet-metal components.
- Experience designing systems integrated into telecom, networking, or datacenter racks.
- Deep knowledge of thermal management for high-power electronic equipment.
- Expertise in PCB packaging, component placement, and board-level thermal design.
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD tools.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory thermal testing, instrumentation, reliability, and failure analysis.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and mechanical reliability.
Nice to have
- Experience working with external manufacturers and suppliers, including teams in Asia.
