Customer-facing Applications Engineer driving adoption of EDA software for custom IC design and simulation. Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, deliver product demonstrations, manage customer relationships, and collaborate with sales teams to exceed revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support by assessing how company products meet customer needs.
- Deliver software demonstrations and technical presentations to illustrate product value.
- Perform benchmark evaluations for customers to differentiate products from competitors.
- Provide on-site support for client issues with custom IC design products.
- Work closely with sales management and account teams to understand business opportunities.
- Contribute to the technical sales plan and communicate account status to management.
- Establish and maintain communication with design engineering on product reliability considerations.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product managers to define new products based on field insights.
Requirements
- Broad understanding of analog design methodologies and flows.
- Proven ability to map simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements.
- Track record of exceptional customer relationships.
- Experience with IC schematic and layout tools such as Siemens EDA Pyxis/S-Edit, L-Edit, Cadence Virtuoso, or Synopsys Custom Compiler.
- Experience with analog simulators such as Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo, AFS, and mixed-signal simulation tools.
- Working familiarity with Unix and Linux OS, and scripting or C programming.
- Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Previous organization management experience including leading technical sales teams.
- Willingness to travel at least 25%.
