Technical Operations Lead

Lead operational execution from contract to delivery, managing suppliers, quality, and logistics across global manufacturing projects. Requires mechanical engineering expertise and 5+ years in operations or supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of customer projects after order issuance, reviewing technical requirements and commercial agreements to launch production.
  • Serve as primary operational contact, providing proactive project updates, managing timelines, and resolving issues.
  • Coordinate production schedules across multiple suppliers and manufacturing projects.
  • Source, evaluate, and onboard high-quality manufacturing partners across machining, sheet metal, casting, injection molding, and other technologies.
  • Build long-term strategic supplier relationships, monitoring performance, quality, pricing, and delivery.
  • Ensure all manufactured parts comply with specifications, engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements.
  • Establish and improve supplier quality processes and inspection standards; manage quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Oversee domestic and international shipments, customs, freight, inventory, and deliveries, ensuring smooth supply chain execution.
  • Lead daily operations team activities and build scalable operational processes, SOPs, and workflows.
  • Utilize CRM, AI-powered tools, and operational analytics to drive efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, or Technical Project Management.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, BOMs, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes: CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, injection molding, welding, plating, finishing.
  • Experience in a hardware startup, industrial technology company, OEM, or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in supplier management, sourcing, and manufacturing operations.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and supplier quality management.
  • Practical understanding of international shipping, import/export, and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with engineers, procurement teams, and executives.
  • Experience with CRM/ERP platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Native or fluent Hebrew and excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Existing network of Israeli manufacturers and industrial suppliers.
  • Experience building operational processes in an early-stage startup.
  • Background in custom mechanical components or industrial procurement.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered operational tools, workflow automation, digital manufacturing platforms.
  • Experience with US-based customers and global manufacturing networks.
