Operations & Manufacturing Manager
Lead day-to-day production operations, drive new product introduction and manufacturing process development, and manage the transition to contract manufacturing in a fast-paced technology setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations, teams, and KPIs.
- Lead new product introduction (NPI), production readiness, and product transfers from R&D to manufacturing.
- Drive manufacturing process development, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Manage production equipment, tools, fixtures, and test infrastructure.
- Lead the transition from in-house manufacturing to contract manufacturing and support high-volume production ramp-up.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure production readiness.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- BSc in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations management, including direct management of production technicians.
- Proven track record leading NPI builds and transferring new products from R&D to production.
- Hands-on experience ramping contract manufacturers for high-volume production, including process transfer and manufacturing readiness.
- Strong background in manufacturing process development and root cause analysis.
- Experience owning manufacturing documentation, ECO processes, and work instructions.
- Familiarity with ESD control, safety practices, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills with R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Nice to have
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience.
- Experience in RF, radar, semiconductor, or complex electronics manufacturing.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent aerospace standard.
