Retention Marketing Manager
Own customer retention strategy and lifecycle marketing across email, SMS, and on-site channels. Drive repeat purchases, customer lifetime value, and revenue growth through data-driven segmentation, automation, and continuous optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategy across email, SMS, and on-site communications.
- Design and optimize automated customer journeys for acquisition, onboarding, first purchase, post-purchase, re-engagement, and win-back.
- Own end-to-end campaign execution including newsletters, promotional campaigns, triggered communications, and SMS initiatives.
- Build sophisticated audience segments based on customer behavior, purchase history, and engagement.
- Establish a continuous experimentation framework to optimize messaging, creative, offers, audiences, and timing.
- Monitor campaign performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with E-commerce, Performance Marketing, Creative, Product, Merchandising, and Brand teams.
- Manage the retention marketing calendar and campaign priorities across markets.
- Maintain database quality, engagement, deliverability, and compliance across CRM channels.
- Stay updated on retention, personalization, and marketing automation trends.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of experience in lifecycle email marketing, retention marketing, or a related field.
- Experience owning lifecycle or CRM initiatives end-to-end, from strategy to analysis.
- Hands-on experience with retention marketing automation platforms like Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, or HubSpot.
- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle management, retention strategies, segmentation, personalization, and experimentation.
- Solid knowledge of e-commerce and customer growth metrics including retention, repeat purchase, conversion, and CLV.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work with campaign and customer data.
- Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with a strong sense of brand and customer experience.
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with ability to manage priorities independently.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
