R&D Technical Project Manager
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver NPU and AI IP products from concept to production. Manage hardware design, embedded software, and SDK tools for edge AI. Coordinate with global R&D centers, customers, and product teams to ensure on-time, quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution for AI processor IP programs from concept to production.
- Manage integrated schedules for hardware design, verification, firmware, and SDK development.
- Drive cross-functional coordination among architecture, VLSI, embedded software, and systems teams.
- Own program priorities, change control, and dependency tracking.
- Monitor program KPIs including schedule, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with product management, architects, and customers to align technical milestones.
- Oversee release of software tools (SDK, compilers, profilers, debuggers) and embedded firmware.
- Identify and mitigate risks; ensure design readiness and quality across all components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 10 years of experience in SoC or semiconductor product development.
- At least 5 years managing complex HW/SW R&D projects with teams of 30+ engineers.
- Experience leading full product lifecycle from concept to mass production.
- Hands-on experience managing NPU programs coordinating data science, compilers, simulation, and hardware.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and planning tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in global, multi-site environments.
- Independent and able to balance technical depth with strategic oversight.
Nice to have
- Experience leading complex AI processor IP execution.
- Knowledge of NPU, Vision DSP, or Edge AI accelerator architectures and AI compiler/runtime environments.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, LLM, or embedded AI systems.
- Customer-facing project management experience with OEM/SoC partners.
