Hardware Project Manager
Lead the development of innovative hardware projects from concept to mass production at a global cybersecurity company. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to deliver cutting-edge security solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead new hardware projects from concept to mass production, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage strategic customer relationships and define project requirements and specifications.
- Coordinate prototype hardware builds (EVT, DVT, PVT) with contract manufacturers.
- Manage software release processes and develop project schedules, identifying critical paths.
- Collaborate on engineering deliverables including specifications, test plans, and validation.
- Conduct audits and quality control for production by ODMs.
- Communicate scope changes and provide regular program status updates with risk mitigation.
- Provide basic hardware debugging support and address field issues with customers and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of hardware design techniques and schematic principles.
- At least 2 years of experience in board design and evaluation of hardware vendors.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing hardware projects.
- Experience in software engineering and project management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated with creative and critical thinking abilities.
- Detailed knowledge of product development processes.
- Strong engineering/technical background with a hands-on approach.
- Experience with project planning tools such as Jira and MS Project.
Nice to have
- PMP Certification.
- Background in network protocols.
- Background in embedded systems.
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of cloud services, cybersecurity, and computer networking.
- Experience managing overseas sub-contractors.
- Knowledge in production and manufacturing.
