Lead mechanical ground systems development for strategic missile and space projects. Oversee engineering requirements, supplier collaboration, and matrix management of engineering, subcontractors, procurement, and logistics. Requires B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and accompany project development in ground systems of strategic weapon systems in the mechanical field
  • Direct and transfer engineering requirements and work with suppliers and various engineering disciplines
  • Characterize requirements documents, concepts, and principles for engineering design and improvement of operational ground systems
  • Characterize and price development of mechanical ground systems
  • Matrix manage engineering entities, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and logistics
  • Lead and present design reviews and technical/engineering discussions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - mandatory
  • 10+ years of experience in the field - mandatory
  • Proven experience in developing mechanical ground/airborne systems in military systems
  • Experience leading development projects and managing integrated, multidisciplinary mechanical systems
  • Experience in matrix management of engineering entities, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and logistics
  • Experience writing engineering documents, leading and presenting design reviews and technical discussions
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing technology development
  • Knowledge and experience in mechanical control and international standards
  • Experience leading ground tests
  • Proven experience with CAD and drawing production
  • Experience leading advanced design in systems operating under challenging environmental conditions
  • High level English (writing and speaking) - mandatory
