Infrastructure Engineering Manager
Lead a team of approximately 10 infrastructure professionals while serving as a technical authority for Linux-based systems. The role is approximately 50% hands-on and reports to the Infrastructure Department Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an infrastructure systems team of approximately 10 employees.
- Act as the technical authority for Linux operating system environments.
- Deliver the team's work plan and infrastructure projects.
- Lead the technical implementation, evaluation, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure systems.
- Lead infrastructure development challenges as part of a core-system infrastructure replacement project.
- Track and control projects and team activities.
- Drive collaboration across teams to deliver shared tasks and initiatives.
- Remain approximately 50% hands-on in infrastructure engineering and operations.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience managing a team responsible for complex IT systems.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience evaluating, installing, maintaining, and upgrading diverse infrastructure systems across their full lifecycle.
- Experience setting up, managing, and operating RHEL and/or Solaris environments.
- Experience managing virtualized and containerized environments.
- Experience establishing and maintaining software repositories.
- Experience writing scripts in multiple languages and working with automation systems.
- Experience managing infrastructure systems and terminal-based operations.
- Experience managing users and working with centralized user-management systems such as Active Directory.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions under pressure in a dynamic, multitasking environment.
Nice to have
- Experience managing infrastructure systems in financial services or insurance companies.
- Experience operating Arikom systems.
- Knowledge of ADABAS databases.
