Lead the technical build of an early-stage company developing AI-driven offensive cyber capabilities. Own engineering organization, set standards, drive architecture, and work with founders to deliver for government partners.
Responsibilities
- Own technical direction and execution of the engineering organization
- Lead, grow, and manage a team of security researchers and engineers
- Set engineering standards, priorities, and culture
- Drive architecture decisions from firmware emulation to exploitation to effects delivery
- Translate strategic objectives into engineering reality with founders
Requirements
- Proven technical leadership in cyber R&D, vulnerability research, Windows internals, embedded R&D, or implant development
- Background in offensive security research at national security agencies, military cyber units, or defense contractors
- Deep technical credibility earned through hands-on work
- Ability to recruit, retain, and develop elite technical talent
- Strong judgment on technical risk, prioritization, and resource allocation
Nice to have
- Experience managing managers or team leaders
- Experience scaling engineering org from early-stage to growth-stage
- Familiarity with AI/ML systems integrated into offensive tooling
- Prior experience building and shipping offensive tools at scale
- Active security clearance or prior work in classified environments
