Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
- Design scalable architecture for high-volume fintech systems using AWS serverless and hybrid-cloud PostgreSQL.
- Drive code quality, testing standards, and deployment practices.
- Collaborate with product, legal, and finance teams on technical feasibility and timelines.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party platforms such as Salesforce and NetSuite.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with React and Node.js.
- Strong AWS expertise (Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, networking, IAM).
- Deep understanding of system architecture and scalable systems design.
- PostgreSQL and database design experience.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing.
- Excellent English communication skills, able to articulate technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Fintech or payments industry experience.
- Startup or scale-up environment experience.
- Experience with embedded finance or banking-as-a-service platforms.
- Hands-on experience with ML systems or credit underwriting.
- Experience integrating with third-party banking APIs or payment platforms.
