We are seeking a Backend Team Lead to manage a team of developers, own backend system design and development, and contribute hands-on (~30%). The role requires 6+ years of backend development and 2+ years of team leadership, with expertise in C#, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of developers
- Own design, development, and maintenance of backend systems
- Take an active hands-on role (~30%), including coding, code reviews, and solving technical challenges
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend services using C#
- Work efficiently with MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies to ensure data integrity and optimize performance
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring security, scalability, and efficiency
Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven experience in a managerial role leading development teams
- Strong hands-on experience in backend development
- Ability to balance people management with hands-on technical work
- Minimum of 6 years of active experience as a Backend Developer
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL
- Proven experience in designing and developing robust RESTful APIs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting
- Proficient with Git or other version control systems
Nice to have
- Extensive experience in C# and .NET framework
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Knowledge of security best practices in software development
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization in high-traffic environments
