Seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Data & AI Department at a leading mobile gaming company. You will develop personalization solutions using reinforcement learning and Bayesian methods, impacting millions of players. The role involves end-to-end data-driven research, model deployment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full data-driven research including problem definition, data collection, model development, evaluation, and deployment.
- Analyze and demonstrate the impact of solutions in a real-time production environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineers, BI, product) to develop, test, and deploy models.
- Propose and contribute to scientific papers, blogs, and conferences.
- Mentor data science and machine learning engineering colleagues and act as a subject matter expert.
Requirements
- M.Sc or Ph.D in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of work experience in data science.
- Strong problem-solving and scientific reasoning skills.
- Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of machine learning.
- Proficiency in Python; experience with PyMC is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Team player attitude.
Nice to have
- Reinforcement learning background (e.g., multi-armed bandits) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in SQL and working experience with GIT.
- Experience in the gaming industry.
