We are looking for a FinOps Engineer to join our Operations team and take ownership of cloud cost management across a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will monitor spending, identify optimization opportunities, manage cloud commitments, build dashboards, and provide financial insights to support technical and business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cloud usage and costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Identify cost anomalies and optimization opportunities
- Manage Reserved Instances and other cloud commitments
- Build and maintain cost dashboards and reports
- Analyze cloud invoices and explain billing changes
- Support annual cloud budget planning and forecasting
- Translate technical usage data into financial insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with DevOps, Development, Finance, and other teams
- Develop initiatives to improve cloud cost visibility and governance
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in FinOps or cloud cost management
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and pricing models
- Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management
- Experience managing Reserved Instances
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and financial understanding
- Ability to identify trends and translate data into recommendations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- Experience writing SQL queries
- Familiarity with Umbrella
- Experience with GCP
- Technical background in cloud infrastructure or DevOps
