Financial Analyst – Real Estate Finance

A growing public real estate finance company is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to evaluate residential and urban renewal transactions, develop financing structures, and support credit decisions from initial review through funding.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze residential and urban renewal real estate transactions
  • Evaluate developers, real estate companies, and financial statements
  • Build financial and cash flow models
  • Analyze feasibility reports, sensitivities, and stress scenarios
  • Prepare and present credit applications to credit committees
  • Support transactions from initial review through financing
  • Work with developers, appraisers, attorneys, accountants, insurers, and banks
  • Use AI and automation in analysis and decision-making processes

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in real estate finance
  • Experience with closed-ended project finance for residential real estate
  • Experience in a bank or non-bank financing company
  • Experience analyzing real estate transactions and preparing credit applications
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • In-depth familiarity with AI tools for research, analysis, and process improvement
  • Ability to work independently with thoroughness and business judgment

Nice to have

  • Experience in urban renewal financing
  • Experience with mezzanine and surplus financing
  • Familiarity with AI tools for research, analysis, and workflow improvement
